Looking at the possibility of rotator cuff surgery. Any of you have recs for a great surgeon in the area? I live in Denton County but am willing to consider surgeons in the greater Ft Worth/Dallas areas.

The North Central Surgical Center surgeons look to be pretty solid. Any others?

My wife is a physical therapist, she has a clinic in Preston Center. She recommends Brett Raynor at Texas Orthopaedic Associates. She sees many of his post op patients and they always have good outcomes. Best of luck, shoulder surgery is no fun.

I was browsing their surgeons earlier and he does sound like a solid surgeon. Both of these recommendations do. Fortunately, D/FW has some great medical care options.

Dr Troy Diehl did mine a couple years ago. Have used him for years, he also did my Wife's ACL Great doctor that I trust completely. Happy with the results.

His office is Frisco/Plano 121 and Independence.

Dr Koganti did my left shoulder about 4 years ago. Great guy!! I need to get my right shoulder done sometime this year and I will go back!!

Dr Jesus Rey is very gifted at upper extremity surgery and is who I would recommend. He is with Arlington OrthopedicAssociates so it's a hike from Denton.

Carrell Clinic, Michael Khair

He patched up my torn bicep but specializes in shoulders. Imperceptible scar which I don't care about but shows how he does things.

Great news, the MRI only showed a partial tear, so no surgery at this time.

Not sure if this means that I'm absolutely going to need surgery ONE day, just not now, or if it can heal itself. But glad I'm not looking at surgery....yet

Good news! You can probably go years with some PT exercises and then maybe shots. I strung mine out for almost 2 decades before it finally got bad enough to fix. You'll know when it is time. The recovery sucks, but when it is time, it is worth it.
