I've tried calling a handful of appliance repair places and nobody seems to be willing to waste their time on my KitchenAid mixer. I just want to drop it off somewhere preferably on the North side of the metroplex.

In case you still have a warranty, Kitchenaid will send you a shipping kit that you can mail yours into their factory for repair, and you will receive a discount for shipping with Fedex.

A appliance repair place is probably not what you want. You need a fixit place. That said the KitchenAid mixer is well known in the diy community and there are parts available and lots of YouTube videos. One that has a store that sells upgraded parts and even mail in repairs is mrmixer. I expect you or someone who is handy and not grease adverse would have no trouble after watching a few videos.

I actually don't have a great workspace yet and want zero to deal with that kind of grease mess inside the house.

Not in the dallas area, but if warranty and mail in does not work out might try a maker space or even a high school cte department.

Our KitchenAid needed repair and, after speaking with KitchenAid directly, they said the only authorized repair shop in DFW is Fort Worth Shaver & Appliance. We used them and had a fine experience.
