Hey, recently moved from Houston and am looking to continue playing poker in Dallas.

I used to play in a weekly game with a few Aggies I met in Houston as well as others. Does anyone on here play in anything like that and would have availability for me in the future? Game stakes aren't really a concern. Thanks in advance.

Don't know of any regular house games anymore but have been to Texas Card House and have several friends that go much more often than me. Solid option if you just want action.

In one of the great municipal government head fakes, I think Dallas shut down all the certificated poker rooms. Poker in Dallas is back to underground. At least that is my recollection.

Nope. They are still open and Dallas is now considering creating a permitting category specifically for them.

Ya I was hoping to find an underground game but doesn't seem like anyone here either has one or wants to invite new people haha.

I'm not a big fan of the card houses

I've been out of poker for a long time now but I would have loved to have a legit business running games even if they charge a cover or per seat etc. What do you not like about the poker rooms? Honest question as I have no idea what they're like.

Just feel like the games are better in private games personally. Nothing wrong with card houses from a cost perspective.
