Restaurant Recommendations for Group Reservation (Proposal Celebration)

I'm needing suggestions for restaurants I could look at having a group reservation (10-20 guests, should know more in the coming days) on December 15 in DFW. Would like somewhere pretty nice, but not so pricey that it doesn't make guests uncomfortable. I'm thinking someplace where if you'd like to splurge on an expensive steak, go for it, but someone could also get something to eat in the $25-30 range if so desired.

I had been planning on proposing to my girlfriend on December 20th in College Station (where we both live). However, forces outside of my control have made that less attractive, so my surprise location, photographer, and restaurant reservation here are now obsolete. "Last minute" change of location to DFW during the weekend of December 14-16 (she and her family will already be up there) seems to be my new plan.

On a Friday night in December, it might be tough to find a place to make a reservation that large, so I'm hoping for a lot of places I can start calling. The actual proposal will probably take place north of the airport in Grapevine/Southlake area (though it's still subject to change). I'd imagine we'd be open to a 20-30 minute drive either direction (friends and family scattered throughout DFW. Any associated feedback you can provide would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

The Ranch in Las Colinas would be a good spot.

i think the issue with steakhouses is yo're either getting high-end places or outback. open to other cuisines?

lots of options in southlake town square and grapevine main street, i think.

The Reata in Fort Worth has been great for groups in their dome, but I'm not sure if its feasible with your drive time requirement.

+1 for the Ranch in Las Colinas. Variety on the menu, very fun atmosphere, and big enough that I would imagine they can accommodate 20 pretty easily. Guests can get anything from steak to chicken fried steak.

Grapevine you could also try Bob's Steak and Chop House - Amazing food but a little pricier, although I seem to remember them having stuff like pork chops that aren't ridiculous prices like the steaks. Their desserts are awesome and the GM is a great guy who makes celebrations special. Been my go-to for Birthdays for years now.

Victor's wood grill in Coppell is another great place that is lower profile, I think family owned. Not a huge place, but I think they have a party room in the back if I remember correctly. Their food is great and good variety of steakhouse and other stuff.

WhiskeyCake is good for a 'farm-to-table-ish steakhouse vibe' but is also a chain unlike the others above. They also have a pretty spectacular whiskey wall and bar if that is your thing.

If you want more upscale Mexican, you could try:
-The Reserve (locations in Las Colinas and Colleyville Grapevine). The Food is fantastic with decent variety, and they always have plenty of room. The service can be hit-or-miss but we really like the food and atmosphere and they should easily be able to accommodate a larger group.

-Mexican Sugar in Coppell; menu has variety and just north of the airport. I think Mexican Sugar is nicer than the Reserve but I prefer the food at the Reserve better, just my personal opinion. Mexican sugar has a more fun vibe also.

-Mi Dia from Scratch in Grapevine. Probably the nicest of the 3 Mexican places listed here, but also IMO the priciest and I'm not sure if they have room for a party of 20, but you could always call and ask.

There's also the restaurants in Hotel Vin in grapevine - one is called Bacchus and is more upscale and there is a rooftop restaurant called Rioja which is neat, but I think it is more Tapas-themed.

I tried to keep this to things that aren't chains, or if they are chains that they are only a few locations in DFW to my knowledge. Let us know where you end up going!

Edited to Add: If you decide the Stockyards is not too far for everyone, I 100% wholeheartedly recommend Lonesome Dove. It is fantastic and they have a party room in the basement that we are considering for our rehearsal dinner!
