We used Red Oak Contacting out of McKinney. We had a good experience. Only downside is that the are made to order (made at the cardinal plant in waxahachie) and the wait was pretty long.

Brennan Enterprises has done windows in 3 houses for us. They are good quality, won't be the cheapest but also not the most expensive. They use their own people for window installation, not day laborers like the big mills (Window World).

I used Window World about a month ago. 5 guys busted their butts and did 22 windows in about 6 hours. They damn sure didn't speak a word of English.

I should say I'm very happy with the work and the price. Just question whether they're 401k, health benefitted employees.

Also be aware of the wife's bait & switch tactic. We got new double hung windows, so of course she's now shopping for shades to replace the blinds. I had not considered this substantial added cost.
