Headed to Farmers Branch this wknd with my Fianc and her 6yr old daughter for a baby shower. We'd like to take the kiddo somewhere fun while we're in the area. Does anyone have any suggestions on any family/kid friendly type places in and around that area?

Farmers branch is Dallas essentially so you have plenty of options. Dallas zoo is 20 - 30 minute drive depending on where exactly you are in farmers branch. The arboretum is probably 15-20 minutes away and has an entire kids area. Its Dallas Blooms right now so the gardens should be really nice but may be busy. Otherwise nothing is really "far" so what ever you could think of you could probably find. Perot Museum and the Aquarium are both in down town as well.

There is a historical park in Farmers Branch with old fashioned houses that have been fixed up and a train car. The kids could run around and play and go look inside all of the houses.

There is a city park off of Josey Lane with a small creek running through it. It's across the street from an elementary school. Believe the school is called Stark Elementary.

The Galleria Mall is also very close, so you could take them there and do some shopping/looking around.

Only adding that Arboretum is probably closer to 30 minutes away IMO for planning purposes.

My kids always liked the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field. They have some stuff kids can climb on and in and some cool planes if you're into that.

Drive up to the Colony and enjoy Grandscape. They literally have anything you could want out there. Go karts, bowling, giant ferris wheel, putt putt, scheels, and tons of food including portillos. Its pretty fun

Downtown Carrollton is right there and has some good stuff to bum around with shops and restaurants. Three Nations Brewing is pretty family friendly and puts out some good beers

Have a pint at The Londoner, then to Dukes to pick up a sloot, then take the sloot to Sherlocks for some live music then sex. At least that's how it worked when I lived up there.

This guy gets it. We had to have crossed paths at some point back in the day.
