I know its not a business model that makes a ton of sense here, but my gf is from NYC and one of the things she misses most is the ability to get a cheap and good slice for a quick lunch. She works at Old Parkland. Only places I know of that do slices are Greenville Ave Pizza Co, which is pretty far from work and idk if they even open for lunch, and Sal's which is close to her office but kinda sucks.

Anyone else doing slices at lunch time near Uptown that don't suck?

Social Pie does slices; located by UTSW near the Maple Ave and Inwood intersection. Their pizza is good.

I was told the old owners of Antonio's pizza from Northgate opened a restaurant in Arlington, but I have forgotten to look into it. That would be great if nothing more than nostalgic for me.

I believe it's called Kablyo's Pizza. It's not in Arlington but further north near the NRH/Keller border.

I don't know if they still do it (or are even open for that matter) but Lovers Lane Pizza on Lovers near the tollway. Not terribly far away from there. Terrific pizza. Had to quit going there for, well, reasons unrelated to quality of the food. (It was the quantity, at least somewhat).

Man, I wish I could still eat pizza. I look at a slice and gain 30 pounds of fat.

Not fancy at all, but Luigi's on E Mockingbird sells slices. Close to tu Southwestern

If y'all are wanting a slice of delicious nostalgia, definitely go to Kabylo's as mentioned earlier. It's Antonio's reincarnated.

I believe Yonkers Pizza (Preston and NW Highway) has a lunch special of two slices and a drink.

I see so many people on FB claim "XYZ is the best NY pizza I've found in the area! I'm from NY and this place is legit!!!"

Knowing the places they always say is the best NY they've found in the area I always think "you only ate at Sbarro when you lived there..."

Not close to her work, but Bay 34th Street in Addison/Farmers Branch has some of the best NY style pizza I've had in the area.
