Looking for a counselor/therapist recommendation in Fort Worth to talk mainly through anxiety/depression issues.

I'm pretty new to DFW so don't have any good leads on that, but from one Ag to another just wanted to say I'm sorry you're dealing with that and you got a whole lot of fellow Ags here for you who care. Hoping the sun comes through the clouds soon for you man.

Consider talkspace. It's online but allows for live sessions and texting with the therapist

I found this thread from 2016

as TeachAg said, so sorry that you're dealing with depression/anxiety. I battled it in high school and luckily my parents realized what was going on and got me help quickly. Unfortunately it still comes and goes. If ever you need someone to talk to feel free to call or we can meet up for lunch or dinner (I've seen your fw restaurant recommendations)

Never thought this is something I could rec a person on, but, well I can now. I go to Amy Carr in Weatherford. She does remote sessions only, so location isn't that important. Very good experience so far for me.

I'm sorry you're going through this Albatross, but I'm glad you're seeking help. I've been pretty far down too, and it took me too long to get help.

I went through the Regen program at Watermark church in Dallas in 2019, and it was amazing, as in literally life changing. Watermark Fort Worth has spun off from the original church, but they do have the same program. It's about a year commitment, and it gets really uncomfortable, but it was beyond worth it for me.

If that's not your bag, this counseling group is led by a family friend. My wife has known them since at least high school. He's a great dude. Southlake may be too much of a hike, and I don't know how or if they do remote:

I'm praying for you right now. Hang in there

Thanks man. Appreciate the offer - I'll PM you first but might take you up on your lunch offer sometime.

Appreciate you (as well as the rest of you) leaning in. It's nothing I'm ashamed of, mental health is important, and I'm ready to get some help with it. Faith-based approach is great with me as well. I think I prefer the in-person route, so I'll likely explore that first. Thanks all.

Second Restoration. They have a bunch out counselors for multiple things, including anxiety/depression, marital issues, addiction, etc. Hoping you get the help you need and counseling is a great start.

I can also attest that God changed my life through Regen.
