Has anyone seen the construction work happening at Grandscape? This is right behind where the Jurassic World Exhibition is currently setup.

This is NOT the Ferris wheel inside Scheels.

I drive by it on my commute and it's looking like a large Ferris Wheel, just wondered if anyone could confirm or had any insight.

This? Not familiar with the area but they announced construction last year.

Not on topic, but that jurassic world exhibit is incredible. We took the kid there because he's dinosaur crazy, and I was expecting to be disappointed, but damn if the animatronics and presentation weren't absolutely incredible.

Glad to see a first hand review of it, been thinking about trying it out.

Yeah, I was expecting one of those dino drive thrus, or maybe something like what the Heard will put together, but this was on another planet.

To put it in perspective, if' you seen the dinos at the Heard, that's a high school baseball game and the Jurassic World exhibit is the major leagues.

By way of a small example, here's a pic of the stygimoloch animatronic in it's cage. This is the worst one by far, and the realism is off the charts.

I think the Jurassic world exhibit was supposed to end in August but it's been so successful that they've extended it. Took my kids as well. My 7 y/o was a little intimidated by the T. rex at the end. It was an impressive finale.

By the way, definitely a Ferris Wheel took a pic the other day.

This Ferris Wheel is going to keep me up at night. It seems so pointless, is this just a product of low interest rates? Who on earth would greenlight a random ferris wheel ride in the middle of the exurbs? The quote below was the cherry on top.

I for one completely disagree with the objection of the ferris wheel. I think its fabulous to see large lit-up ferris wheels in landscapes. You don't have to ride it. It will add some real buzz around the area especially since it will be so visible from SRT.

It's just for fun! Whats wrong with that? It's not like it will run all night and cause problems.

Grandscape has over 400 acres of land, how can they possibly afford to devote 1/2 an acre to the wheel??!?
