Wife and daughter will be in downtown Fort Worth for several nights and wanted to see what the current status is on safety/homeless/stranger danger situation. After a recent trip to San Antonio Riverwalk and downtown, she is a little nervous that everywhere has turned into a craphole. Hoping it is still as cool as last time I was there and they can walk freely around stockyards and that area alone. Thoughts or advice?

No issues as far as I can tell. Downtown is opening back up so Sundance is not yet as vibrant as it used to be before the pandemic. The Mule Alley area in the Stockyards is growing in popularity as well and seems fine to me.

Both places safe. Downtown has run out a few of it's tenants so it's not as lively as it once was.

Second Mule Alley - do Provender Hall with a drinks at Sidesaddle Saloon after and you won't be disappointed.

Was in Sundance a few weeks back, no issues regarding safety. Lots of the shops/boutiques have closed tho so the shopping options may be a little light

This is the correct strategy!

Fort Worth doesn't have significantly (d)ifferent leadership. We have pretty safe & nice business & entertainment areas.

Live here. No issues at all. Seriously. Very little if at all. Stay in the popular areas. It's very safe.

Both areas. No problem. Now if you go looking for issues in the middle of the night or even midnight you can find it. But so many families out snd about in both areas mentioned.

The Stockyards and Mule Alley were packed over the 4th. Great place to hang for an afternoon

Also if yall are into movies spend an evening at Coyote Drive In just north of downtown. Great atmosphere, good concessions. I enjoy it even if the movie is bad haha
