Wife wants the complete mommy makeover....we've already had one consultation but wanting a second opinion considering cost and invasiveness. How do I find a top of the line surgeon around here that we know we can trust without just going off Google reviews?

Ask and you shall receive right!?? Haha I got exactly what I asked for. This guy seems legit and the estimate cost I got when I called their office was DOUBLE what the first place was going to charge...and I thought $17K was expensive! This place was $30K! Your wife is lucky to have ya!

Not sure what's involved with a mommy makeover, but we paid $7-8k.

I will say, though, that cheaper isn't always better. Some that we interviewed with made it feel like an assembly line, which isn't really what you want with this decision. It's worth a bit more to find someone that'll do it right.

I highly recommend Dr. Steven Camp. Had one procedure in 2018 and planning a different one with him for this fall. I visited several in Fort Worth before deciding on him and while some of them were also great, he made me feel super comfortable and I could tell right away that he's a perfectionist and I wouldn't want anything less in a surgeon. He also happens to be an Aggie, though that didn't factor into my decision at all.

Also, have your wife download the RealSelf app. Super thorough reviews and tons of pictures of every procedure you can imagine.

This isn't an area you want to bargain shop.

If you're smart, you'll wait until she brings it up. If it had been my husband's idea, it probably wouldn't have gone over very well. I guarantee you if she's open to having cosmetic surgery, she's already thought about it and will bring it up when she's ready.
