I need to setup a NAS for our drafting dept. Id like to go raid 10 for increased throughput when loading large assemblies, id like remote access without having to setup VPN but security is important. And it would be great if it can run a basic web server so we can link documents in emails to the production floor and eliminate paperwork.

Id also like if local mac and pc and Linux can see the drive with native file sharing and not require software installations

Do any of the ~$500 options support all this or am I better off with a separate machine running LAMP and a symbolic link to a share with samba?
