Does anybody know what the Friday line looks like these days?

Planning on meeting my Brother and Father there for lunch tomorrow and wondering when is best to show up.

My brother has to go back to work, but I do not.

I'm curious as well since I've been wanting to go back I haven't been since Fall last year when the weather was great. We got there about 10:50 and were sitting down with food around 11:30. We were about 10 people from the door when we lined up.

Long. You'll wait 45 mins to an hour

I went back in the fall and it wasn't bad. I got there around 10:30 and was eating by 11:10. That was back in September or October.

Report: Got in line about 10:50 and was sitting down with food about 11:40ish.

They were out of burnt ends by the time we got inside the door.

Overall food was pretty good. Everything had a little spice to it, even the collard greens

Have you actually been to both? Cattleack is the best in the state as far as I'm concerned.

I'd put it in a group with Lockhart Smokehouse, easily a notch below the upper echelon.

Their onion rings are legit though.

I've been to Ten 50 in Richardson, wasn't as good as Cattleack IMHO.

Haven't been back to Pecan Lodge in a while.

Cattleack and Ten50 are fairly in a group. The others are a tier above.

No way Cattleack is in the same conversation as Pecan Lodge.

Haven't had Cattlelack but Ten50 is in the same ballpark as Pecan/Lockhart. Their problem is consistency. When they are on, i like them better than Lockhart/Pecan, but some days they are off.

I also have only eaten there for lunch; I have heard they aren't as good at dinner

Pecan Lodge has slipped my last few times there as well. Lately, for consistency, of places i have tried, Lockhart has been the best in DFW for me, although Heim's Bacon Burnt Ends are the best thing i have ever eaten.

Winner's and Top5 are both very good joints i have had in DFW as well

Gonna have to agree to disagree. Top5 and Lockhart are both pretty below average if you are comparing them to the rest of the Top 50 list IMO.
