Has anybody been to this discount grocery store in Fort Worth? What was your experience? Their products are really cheap, and it doesn't look like bad quality either. I always like finding deals on stuff so that's why I'm asking.

My wife was thinking the same thing. She won't go with me.

A lot of their foood is stuff that was about to expire so the freeze it. At least you hope it hadn't already expired. We've bought a lot of cheap plastic goods. Like styrofoam cups or little plastic ramikins. Some of it printed with logos from out of business restaurants.

It used to be Aggie owned but doesn't look like it anymore.

Looking at their story they're just a retail front for salvage goods which can come from auctions or insurance claims and there's a broker network that moves this stuff every day.

Town Talk is still owned by an Aggie.

Basically, it is a warehouse for selling large amounts of soon-to-be out-of-date foods or other goods. You can definitely get bargains there, but (as everywhere) you have to be selective.

We've always referred to their merchandise as the stuff that fell off the truck. Often good finds
