Anybody have a recommendation on an optometrist and/or place to get glasses in Far North Dallas, Plano, Richardson, Addison area?

I wasn't overly impressed with the last place I went, the Pearl Vision place on Preston just S of Park and the associated optometrist next door. Figured I'd see if yall had any good ideas.

Thanks in advance,

Goose.

For the past 4-5 years, I've just gone to the optometrist by the Lenscrafters in Collin Creek Mall (Dr. James Williams - although you'll likely just see some staff opto). I wear contacts, but I'm not exactly high maintenance so I'm not real tough to impress - which probably goes without saying since I was okay with going to the mall for my eye care. That said, I've always liked the doc I saw, and they've always had their **** together as far as running on time, handling the insurance, and ordering my contacts. I did have to change styles of contacts at one point when astigmatism decided to join in on the fun with the nearsightedness I've had since high school, and they were great about working with me to find contacts that would fit me just right.

Hey neighbor... try Dr. Ballard at First Eye Care (on 635 between Hillcrest and Preston). My wife and I have been going there for a while and it's been great. They also have an eye scanner that eliminates the need for dilation during eye exams (although insurance usually doesn't cover the cost of that).

They have been fantastic. Dr. Suelflow has been very helpful with my eyes changing faster than should.

For the past few years I've been visiting my Aggie Optometrist, Lauren Bailey, at First Eye Care West Plano.

3405 Midway Road Suite 421
Plano, TX 75093

It's at Parker & Midway just west of the tollway.

quote:
Lauren J. Bailey, O.D. is a native of Canyon, Texas, and attended Texas A&M University for her undergraduate studies. She then studied at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she received her doctorate of optometry and several honors for excellence in the family practice and neuro-ophthalmology services. Dr. Bailey holds the highest level of licensure granted by the Texas Optometry Board, and she is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association.

She and her husband Joel enjoy cooking, fly fishing, hosting a weekly Christian study, enjoying the city and their family, and going to Fightin’ Texas Aggie football games.

I think she's back from maternity leave for their first child.
