It looks like the one on 35E is closed, and has been for a while...Are any still open around DFW?

If not, they should be. I don't see how they woudln't be successful.

No, they are gone as far as I know. Isn't the one on 35 a J. Pepe's now?

Probably the only thing I miss about living in Houston.

Ninfas isn't that great anyways. There are hundreds of Mexican food places in DFW. Lots of them are better than Ninfas. Just go pick another one out.

There is only one good Ninfa's now, the original one on Navigation Blvd in Houston. The others aren't affiliated with it anymore and it shows.

Where are you hearing that they are not affiliated? The one in Waco and last I heard the one in College Station are run by the grandson of the old lady....(at least, I think that's the relation, can't remember exactly)

I had heard that her family sold the other locations. If you look at www.mamaninfas.com it only lists the one location when you click on "location". It doesn't mention the other ones. I'm not 100% sure, though.

I just noticed that it says they are not affiliated with any other Ninfa's in the fine print at the bottom of the website.

Well, the original was bought by Legacy, guess I didn't think about that. I know Mario is still at the Waco one, and he's part of the original family. Not 100% sure about College Station though.

Yah, Mama Ninfa overleveraged her expansion plans back in the 90's and the entire operation has never been the same.
