Where can you buy julio's chips and salsa in DFW? The super walmart in Mansfield sells the chips, but not the salsa...

I've seen the chips at Kroger in Carrollton too, but no salsa.

Probably doesn't help much, but I used to get both at the Kroger in Denton. Mmmm, I like their chips and salsa!

make your own, really isn't that hard, over the years I've acquired the recipes for el fenix, luna de noche, etc. salsa, none are more than 10 ingredients.

The Wal-Mart in Hickory Creek sells both.

I get it in San Angelo when I head home to see the rents from time to time. Always better at the source!

I remember bringing a bag or two back during my Corps days...word got around quickly and it never made it past day one.

Speaking of tortilla chips... my favorite brand was Jimenez (spelling?).

In the 80s/early 90s they blew away all chip brands sold at the super-market.

I know the quality fell way off at one point... not sure if it was because the company was bought by another company and that parent sunk the Jimenez brand (I could imagine a Frito-Lay monster buying them and then sinking the quality)... think they did just that to Eagle Snacks.

I lurked for the first time here from the Houston board. HEB has the salsa as well as central market which is HEB owned. Heavy MSG and watery but oh soo good. Julio's chips are good alone but not with julio's salsa, the salt on salt is too much. I eat the salsa with basic tortilla chips.

Aren't Julio's chips pre-seasonsed? If they are the ones I'm thinking of, I thought they were only available in Lubbock and the Rio Grande areas.

I've bought them in various places in the DFW area, but I can't remember where (the wife pays attention to that stuff). I'll ask her.
