If you don't mind driving a little farther, go to Cafe Malaga in McKinney in the square. Call for reservations though. It is amazing.

If it wasn't your anniversary I'd say Babe's.

Why do people always post questions and give absolutely no details? Atleast give a price bracket of what you are willing to spend. I got friends that eat a III Forks for anniversaries and others that would rather kick back on a patio somewhere and just eat some $18 fajitas and enjoy the evening.

Maggiano's is in Plano which isn't too far from Frisco. Personally, I think it's about as good as Italian food gets and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Randy's. It's on Main Street. Thank me later.

Seriously, Randy's? Just down the street, never been there. Is it the white victorian style house?

Not really anniversary material, but I enjoy Mattito's in Frisco Square.

I didn't really post specfics because I just wanted to hear what people had to say. If it sounds appealing enough we'll head to the $ restaurant if it's good, but I'd also be willing to head to the $$$ restaurant if someone gave a really good rec.

Thanks to all of you who have already chipped in. Much appreciated.

I'd consider Nicola's at the shops of legacy.

Mid to up-scale italian, cool atmosphere, great food.

Your wife will feel special and it won't break the bank either.

Comeby, yes it's a high-end steakhouse, with the usual alternatives on the menu. I want to say Randy was the exec chef at Del Friscos for a long time before opening his own place but emmalou could probably say exactly.

I have been once and it was great, but my wife's family has been going for years, they are pretty particular about their steaks and always enjoy Randy's.

Yes, Randy was an exec chef at Del Frisco's for a long time. He bought the old victorian house and has added on a piano bar, cigar room and new dining room. We prefer to sit in the new part, but the old part definitely has great charm.

Randy will come out and chat with you and you'll feel like you're best friends afterwards. Give it a shot. Ask for Daniel if he's there.

Been to Randy's a few times, not a big fan of their food, but the atmosphere is more unique than the other steakhouses in Dallas.

If you want something nice but trendy:

- Loft610 is a good place to eat and on Saturday evenings I believe they have a DJ, gets pretty full
- Shops of Legacy is always hard to beat: Nicola's (italian), Bob's (steakhouse), Jasper's (my favorite, outdoor grilling cuisine), RA (sushi), hell there are a ton of swanky as well as casual places there, so you can park and walk around, and pick out whatever suits your needs at the moment
- Shops of Starwood (not super fancy, but I'm a big fan of True Fire)

If you want something pretty casual and affordable:

- Palio's (BYOB and BYOwine) - good local pizza place
- Main Street now has quite a few places (Matito's and Lochran's [irish pub] are next to each other and both have a nice patio to eat outside. Josephine's is one of me and my wife's favorites because you can go casual and it's a decent Italian restaurant with very friendly staff.

Stay off of Preston Road, too damned busy and it's nothing but strip malls and chain restaurants.

Forgot to add, near 121 and Legacy, you have a ton of choices too:

- Silver Fox Steakhouse (upscale steakhouse)
- Cantina Laredo
- Kenny's Burgers (fantastic food, don't let the name fool you, but it's small and is always full)
