I've put off taking my wisdom teeth for too long.

I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a good one?

Had mine done by Dr. Craig Williams a few years ago. No problems and a very nice guy. He's in the doctor's office complex across the street from Presbyterian Dallas hospital.

FWIW, his nephew was the bachelor on the most recent "The Bachelor" TV show.........

I was supposed to get my wisdom teeth taken out when I was in college (as you can see I'm class of '07 so its been a while), I skipped the surgery to watch Acie Law nail "the shot" against Texas.

I'll have to check out and see if any of these guys are in "network" for me. How were the rates? Hopefully pretty reasonable with insurance.

I thought my current dentist was on the high end, they were charging about 1500 with the insurance picking up $1100. But I'm not so sure I like my new Dallas dentist very much.

Dr. Harold Marshall took mine out as well as my sisters and brothers. We all had good experiences with him. He is at Medical City I believe.

When my son had his wisdom teeth out health insurance covered it. Last year when my daughter needed hers out we found that our medical insurance no longer covers it & we do not have dental insurance. I called around & found Dr. Marshall @ Medical City. I called his office & asked if I could get a discount. I think they gave 20-30% off. My sister is a nurse @ Med City so I had her check him out & we ended up having no problems w/him at all. It is worth it to find out exactly what your benefits are & then find a doctor.

Dr. Arthur Fields in Plano. I had major jaw surgery, wisdom teeth removal and metal plate removal (from jaw surgery) all done by him and I can't speak highly enough about it. He's VERY good at what he does and his office staff is amazing. I hope you use him.

I second Dr. Fields.

Baylor college of dentistry in Dallas will do all four for well less than a grand. It takes a couple of trips but will let you save in the $1200 range.

Dr. Williams with Williams, Scheideman, & Runyon did my wife's wisdom tooth extraction a couple years ago. He was originally recommended by a co-worker too.
