My wife and I have lived in Little Elm for the past 5 months or so and have tried out several churches around the area, but have not found enough up our alley to make a decision yet. We like a more contemporary non-denominational church and would love to find something in the Little Elm/Frisco area or even nearby in Denton, Prosper, etc. We are both in our late 20's and would love to find a church with a similar demographic that is relaxed and deals with modern topics. Thanks in advance for any help.

Check out the Village. I think this is exactly the type of church you have described. Their main campus is in Highland Village, but they also have a campus in Denton. I would suggest going a couple of times to the Highland Village campus to hear Matt Chandler a few times. He is a young pastor (30's), and the demographics are similar to what you described.

On the website below you can download some of his sermons. I have yet to meet a single person who has heard him preach and not been moved by his sermons.

Forgot to mention, if you go to the Highland Village services Sunday mornings, go early (about 20 minutes) or you won't get in. They are in the process of renovating a building to accomodate more people, but until then, the services are packed.

I and my wife tried about a half dozen churches after our move to Plano. During that time more and more people recommended the Village to us and we finally went. It's an incredible church. We are now regular attenders and plan on joining one of their home groups soon.

Cottonwood Creek would be a 30 minute drive, but it is well worth it.

I can't disagree with Cottonwood Creek either as that is where I am a member.

Denton Bible & Stonebriar Community Church have two of the best pastors in the North Texas area.

My wife and I looked for a church for a long time, and finally found our spot at Stonebriar Community Church.

We love it, and Charles Swindoll is great.

There's a small new church I attend in The Colony, called Horizons. It's Wesleyan, but for all purposes, non-denominational. You might want to access its website Thinkhorizons.com. Very community oriented and Bible based. 250 on a typical Sunday, but growing.

The Village is great, We attend there as well... however there is a church plant they helped out with in Little Elm called Providence. It should be on the village site or you can call them as well... great teaching pastor there as well. if you want to drive to Highland Village, it is worth it though.

This is where I attend, and I truly think that you should give it a shot! Music worship is contemporary and the pastor is really good. I feel that there are many different churches in the area and there are many different people, but this is a great church to attend for a Sunday or two and see if it fits you.

For a church plant, we have a lot of opportunities for fellowship and growth including mens & women's ministry, missions, couples ministries...etc.

We take all of our first time guests to lunch on us, as a chance to let visitors get to know the people of our church better, if you come please let me know and I will make sure to come along.
