Has anyone added a diamond on the shield of an aggie ring in Dallas? I want to get this done without waiting the 4-6 weeks with Balfour.

I have spoken to a couple of places who had either never done it before or they would also be sending it off.

I don't have any suggestions of local jewelers, but when I added a diamond to my ring, I made the decision to go with a College Station jeweler. These guys modify Aggie rings all the time, so they are good at what they do. Plus, it gives you an excuse to get out of town and back to the promised land for a weekend!

Just an example, this is what David Gardner's did with my ring and I couldn't have been happier with the work. They'll also ship it back to you so you don't have to make a return trip to CS.

Did you get your masters? I thought a diamond signifies a masters degree. Or has that changed?

I got a masters degree awhile back, but my wife is a little slow on the draw for getting this done.

My mom got a diamond for my dad's aggie ring after he got his masters back in the day.

Congratulations! Sorry I don't have suggestions for the diamond, I was just curious about the degree. We have many Ags in our family, but only 1 with Ag master's degree, and I think it is really special to put the diamond in then. I think it's just about a lost tradition though. I just got married, and we got our rings at the World Trade Center, so I would trust imnag07.

The diamond has been in the family and was given to me by my mom. For the work and the platinum setting I paid around $375.
