Which has the better Tex Mex?
We've dined at that Maudie's location a number of times and have always gotten great Tex-Mex and outstanding service. Plus, it's the ONLY Maudie's we've been to that wasn't full of yuppie magpies yapping at the top of their lungs, with their strollers full of obnoxious rugrats in tow. I can't speak to the commute to or from the airport, as we are always coming from a different direction; but, we would highly recommend it for the reasons mentioned.milner79 said:
Ok, this is helpful. Thanks, gentlemen. Enchiladas y Mas duly noted.
Last question: Where would you place Maudie's (Slaughter Lane)? Ahead of Matt's? Looking for something not terribly far from the airport.
As noted the food at El Arroyo's is bad, the food at Matt's is meh, but has some bright spots. The food at Maudie's is bad too but it is great because there seems to never be a wait. It is the perfect spot for a random chips and drinks night. Matt's is always a mad house.milner79 said:

I don't get this rec. My wife always wants to go but I've been 5 times over the past few years and food has been well below par with horrendous service. The baklava place next door is fire though.

The Maudie's on north Lamar is where you need to go. Just don't tell everyone else.
i'm a fan, but unfortunately, its too close to Enchiladas y Mas, so if I'm in that part of town, i'm typically going there instead. When I lived closer, I'd hit Eldorado more often b/c i was going to EyM regularly.Vade281 said:
