Texas teachers cannot have unions. They do have associations that do similar activities.

The high school level surrounding districts aren't doing much better. My school is open... but we are sitting at about 12-15% full right now. I see maybe 4-5 in person students a day over 3 classes. Most kids are still home even though schools are open. A lot of that is athletics driven. Kids don't want to get their team quarantined.

AISD needs to break up into 2 districts. North and South or East and West. San Antonio has 17 school districts and Houston has 11.

25% of all RobinHood taxes for the state come from AISD, 730 million last year.
