need someplace to go tonight? help

i hear fore is ok. never been. looks like a dallas bar to me (pretentious).

there's a nice little sports pub/grub called the league. it's close to fore. most people there spend most of their time making fun of people at fore.

zingers is ok. sports pub/grub.

there are several wine bars in lakeway/bee cave area.

there's little woodrows as well.

iron cactus bar is ok on weekend.

pooty's hilltop bar in spicewood is somewhat like the chicken (with live music). great green chili cheese burger. bring some goggles, though, because the smoke is pretty thick.

I know this is too late...but my list in no particular order:

The League - nice bar with good and interesting food

Fore - almost like a bigger version of The League but not as good

Fion - wine/cheese bar with surprisingly good draft beer selection. Cheeses good, other food so-so.

BC Tavern - hardly a "tavern" with very good food but poor beer selection. Sign on building still says Zoot.

Zingers - sports bar with good bar food

Little Woodrows - roomy bar, lots of TVs, good fried pickles

Angels - indoor/outdoor bar/restaurant with live music. Bud/Miller kind of place.

Iron Cactus - overpriced Mexican food with a nice tequila selection and patio.

i forgot about bc tavern. they make a decent steak.
i think fion is closed. last time we tried to go (like 1 month ago), there was a sign saying they were closed due to not paying the rent.

I like Fore as well. There is also a spot called Jaspers which in the same shopping center as the League, so I dont know how long they will be in business. Its a cool little spot - no food - just booze.

from a thread several weeks ago, the Bee Caves Fion sleeps with the fishes.

Fion and BC Tavern should have merged. The good food at BC with the clubby feeling of Fion.

BC Tavern is so UN-tavern like it's silly.

both Fion in BeeCaves and Stiener are now closed.... too damn bad. They had a great beer selection.

Lake Travis Wine Trader has an extensive wine selection, and you can open anything off the shelf in the store and consume there. You can usually find me there on Sundays.

Im surprised, the Bee Cave Fion always seemed pretty busy
