I go to Mark Hutchens at Texas Sports & Family medicine. I like him a lot because he's no-nonsense and really straightforward. For instance, I'm a little overweight and during my last physical, he just came right out and said, "Hey, what are you doing? You need to lose some weight." I appreciate a doc who doesn't beat around the bush. He's an Aggie, too.

+1 for Kevin Spencer. He runs his organization well and cares about talking with his patients.

We go to dr Grady. He has an office in San Marcos and Kyle. Part of the corridor physicians group.

I was also going to recommend South Austin Family Practice-I've seen both Dr. Weary and Cynde Gardner (PA) both. And Cynde is an Aggie!

we see Dr. McCarty there. Best Dr. I've ever had. Can always get an appt. the same day, they sit down, spend time with you, ask questions and make sure that any treatment and diagnosis has been thought out. All of the Dr's in the practice have worked in sports medicine, so they're really good with knee, back, muscle, tendon, etc. problems.

can't recommend them enough, though I know Dr. McCarty is not currently taking new patients. I think 1 or more of the other dr's (including Hutchens) may be, though.

Dr. Cary Douglass at Westlake Family Practice. A really good doctor (imho) after having him as my family physician for the last 6 or 7 years. Nice guy; seems to take his job (and me) seriously. That's what I look for in a doc.

I'm looking for a new doctor as well. Anything in the North Austin, Domain/Arboretum area?
