I was working out at the A&M Consol track on Monday evening around 6:00, and noticed a group of runners out there. Does anyone have any idea the name of the group? Of course it slipped my mind until later to simply ask one of them.

Anyone a member of a running club in the BCS area? I'd be interested in joining.

You might try going back around the same time another day and seeing if they are there again. Then you could simply ask them.

Charlie Lima (Train with Charlie) has a club that meets M-W-F, 545am. I think they run varying distances and courses starting at the Aggieland Fitness Dome.

BTW, just to follow up on the T-ball thread, the dates had not been updated on the website. If your child turns 4 this summer, then you can sign them up.

There are a few running groups around town, but no official running clubs... except for TAMU Roadrunners. Send me a PM and I can direct you to the groups that I know of. Some concentrate on shorter distances like the 5k, 10k, some train for half marathons and marathons, and some train for ultra marathons (distances between 26.2 - 100+ miles). Along with the running groups, there are a couple of triathlete groups that train for sprint races up to iron distance events.

Edit: These are all runners and triathletes that have years of first-hand experience in these events. They train and race hard while keeping the fun and social aspect alive.

Thanks. I emailed with code_dog and he set me straight, too. My older son doesn't turn 4 until April, but there is a Hotshots league that he can participate in.

Sweet! I didn't know we had any Hasher's locally. I stand corrected, there is another running club in town besides the Roadrunners. Or is it a drinking club? As their saying goes, "A drinking club with a running problem".

I didn't know we had a local Hasher group either! I just recently discovered this group and find the concept fascinating.
