We need to board our 4 months old puppy or have a pet sitter for 5 days next week starting on Christmas day.

All recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

I would be very careful what type of boarding place you take a 4 month old puppy to because they can very easily pick up diseases and if you do board him, ask for the bordello shot or nasal spray if he is old enough, it will keep him from getting kennel cough.

As for pet sitters, I would ask your vet. They always have people asking about that and can give recommendations. The only one I have ever used was beyond awful so I would not recommend her.

Is it a bit late to find a place to board your dogs over Christmas?

We've always used our vet, Southwood Valley, to board our dogs, but usually call weeks in advance.

It is definitely last minute, but that's how it goes sometimes.

It seems like we will use Harpers Tonkawa Kennels (He had room) which is by a vet clinic on hwy 30.

Anybody used this place before? Anybody knows anything about it?

Does anyone know if the lady who ran Happy Tails pet sitting is still in business?

We used to use Harper all the time. He is a great person. The only reason we no longer use him is our dog is 14 and is an inside dog, and most of his kennels are outside.

We've used him.... Nice man. Lots of animals, though & our guy came back w/ some ticks..... Make sure yours is updated on anti-parasitics &/or a dip afterwards.
