Listening to last night's CS City Council meeting, prayers were offered for Mayor Nichols, who apparently had a fall at home and a subsequent surgery.

In the interim, William Wright (mayor pro tem) will be serving in his capacity as the mayor rehabs, is my understanding. He led the council meeting last night, and was at the new fire station opening today.

Whatever differences I've had with the mayor in the past, prayers for his speedy recovery.
