I own a rent house that my son lives in, it is in an older part of College Station with homes built in the 1960's. I am interested in adding on to our driveway to make room for additional parking for an RV during football weekends. Does anyone know if this would require a permit?

Also, can anyone recommend a concrete company that may be able to provide this service?

Thank you. I did go to the city website, but wanted to see if anyone had first hand experience. I believe I'm in good shape with what I want to accomplish. Now I just need to find a concrete company. LOL

how many square feet are you adding ?


is this a side extension that tapers down to original curb entry ?


also unless it has changed there is a max limit I believe of of 20 ' width at the curb

Yes, you will definitely need to talk to city hall first. There are impervious covering limits and rules, in addition to other things you may have to consider.

I'll be sure to double check with the city, but at this time there is no intent or plan to extend to the city street, just widen an existing drive way.
