I've had AT&T for cell service forever, but it's gotten kind of expensive and Verizon is offering a good deal. Anybody had both in the local area and have a preference? Or, any Verizon users who would recommend or not recommend switching? TIA!

Had AT&T forever. Customer service was AWFUL when I decided to switch.
Now on T-Mobile and we love it.
We even went to their cellular modem for internet and are really happy with that as well.

I have ATT as my personal phone and my work phone is Verizon…it seems to me that Verizon network is better/stronger than ATT…completely anecdotal, but that is my experience.

Verizon is great in Texas.

I had AT&T for years (even back when it was Cingular). I switched to Verizon 17 years ago and never looked back.

I have AT&T and wife has Verizon.

Coverage/service seems to be about the same.

Unless something has changed, Verizon was terrible in neighborhoods in the Wellborn/Greens Prairie area.

Does this include starlink?
I hope I did not offend anybody with this post. If I did, please come see me at my address in my profile so we can talk.

Yes, TMobile uses Starlink for coverage.
No it doesn't include a Starlink antennae.

Was reading this thread considering making the move to Verizon until you said this. Anyone in the Castlegates who can vouch for Verizon?

That's interesting. What kinda speeds you get at home and how consistent is it? Is it as good as Frontier? I'd guess it's not but probably will be eventually.

We had Verizon for 10+ years. The service went down hill. We switched to T-mobile. Hands down better. And saved money.

Is that through a VPN? I get about 200-300 Mbps combined without the VPN. It's about 200-250 Mbps combined with VPN. I split my network between work and personal. I may get a separate network all together for personal use. That's what I was thinking of using Starlink for. Also, saw this the other day (below). T-mobile will be taking over eventually all together if Starlink stays with them.

I want speeds fast enough so I can cut the cord and go with YouTube tv. People around here say they are fast enough to stream but I see too many delays. That drives me nuts during games.

No VPN.
Interesting on Starlink.
