Quite the cabal, of inflated pricing, along FM2818, and FM60. Starting with the two "Tailgate" stores on FM60, still at $3.70/gallon, with others at $3.50-3.60.

Meanwhile, Kroger on WJB is $3.08, many along Tx Ave and east side at $3.12-3.15

Just an observation, free market of course. And questionable patrons...

FM60/2818 are thoroughfares in and out of College Station. The tailgate on FM60 is near the airport (rental fills). You pay for the convenience.

Yeah the last station before the rental return spot seems to be the highest in every city

The Exxon and Shell stations at Wellborn/Rock Prairie were $3.69 yesterday while the Jones Crossing HEB just a mile away was $3.12.

I got back from a trip right after Memorial Day, the Shell station by the rental car return at DFW was charging $5.499/gallon. I'd never seen prices in the US that high, outside of California. I got home to Waco and it was $3.749. Station should be charged with aggravated assault.

Lots of other thoroughfares in/out of B-CS, not at $3.70, and are there that many rentals, returning to Easterwood? Maybe so..
With the disparity between the 60/2818 stations, versus east, north, and even south CS, just puzzling that competition is not more at play.

Tailgate owner is the same guy that owns the Cole Stop off highway 30. At least I assume he owns them. Nice guy but their prices are always ridiculously high at the Cole Stop. Good tacos though.

My thoughts as well. I don't think there are majority of the year. I think they just know they can take advantage of that situation

Price of gas was all over the place today. Most likely due to the Iran war? Paid $3.09 at the Stripes on Briarcrest at 1 pm but saw that the 7-11 on Greens Prairie jumped over 30 cents since yesterday (3.14 to 3.45).

Everything on 2818, between HWY 6 north and Holleman, is truly gouge pricing. They are always high no matter what the price.

I can drive in town to TXB or the 7-11 on WJB Drive and pay 50 cents less. The 7-11 at FM2818 and Holleman seems reasonably priced.

The price of gas is not consistent with the price of oil right now.
Walk softly and carry a big stick! Make sure the big stick makes big boom noises and flashy bright lights.
