Common here. Friend found a stray kitten that turned out to be a bobcat feral cat cross. Raised it up and it's a fine critter. That looks like a bobcat.

Yeah, it's a bobcat.
One of the biggest I've seen though.

I didn't think ferals and bobcats could breed

I've seen a huge one down there. Saw it at dusk and thought it was a lost dog at first. Same size as our Aussie.

Then my friend made a hell of a mistake. Or ended up with an unusually tame bobcat.

My limited research online seems to confirm that they cannot as their genetic makeup is not compatible for successful breeding. They have a full on bobcat.

A couple months ago, in front of Forest Ridge Elementary on Greens Prairie, I saw a bobcat (DOA) in the middle of the road. Beautiful animal that had an unfortunate end.

Bobcats can be tamed if raised from very young. They can be incredibly affectionate, and territorial of their "person"

We live down I&GN Road and see big cats like that pretty regularly late at night. After heavy rains you can find big cat paw prints walking along the creek and through our property. They have feasted on some ducklings and taken out a bunch of barn cats in our area.

My freshman year in college, a large group of us went to a party somewhere around the Tap. It certainly wasn't sorority row that's for sure. For some reason, our driver left without telling us. Being that there was no uber back then, we had to walk back. On the way home, we "collected" some items "somehow" - couple golf hole flags and a giant bobcat pelt (no idea where it came from). That pelt became the dorm leader's outfit whenever we had meetings (kinda like the conch in lord of the flies). We all signed our initials inside it (not our real names for obvious reasons) and then we handed it down to the next freshman class and asked them to do the same. My senior year, some fish barely 5 ft tall was wearing it at a party in my apartment. He looked like an Ewok from Return of the Jedi. It had a ton of new initials. Funniest thing I've ever seen. I ran into one of my old dorm buddies couple years later and he said it's still in the dorm. It's been a long time since then but I'm curious to know if it's still there.

I saw one at Traditions in Bryan last week around 5pm. Just crossing the road. Lifetime resident of BCS first time I've ever seen one.

In 2013, sitting on my patio right behind Yesterday's Bar and Grill, a very healthy bobcat strolled by. I set up a game camera and never saw him again. We see foxes on our ring camera 5-6 times a month.

Had a family of grey foxes casually trot through my backyard while I was watering this morning. There's a lot of wildlife around here.

My neighbor used to feed foxes on his back deck.

My parents used to do that near Waco. They spent most evenings on the patio. My dad would toss the slices of old bread out into the back yard. The yard was heavily wooded and the areas surrounding the street they lived on were all wood (no homes/streets).

The foxes would come up and get the bread each night. If they ran out, they'd bark, then retreat while my dad tossed out more. It wasn't long before he was buying the bread for the foxes. BTW, my dad thought bread or cheese was perfect for every animal...I won't get into him taking me fishing, but it involved bread and cheese. If you sat still on the patio, the foxes would get within about 10'. Most nights there were 4-10 foxes visiting.

We had crows that would complain if we didn't feed the outside cats on schedule so they could eat the leftovers.
