Just a few tips for those of you going to the soccer match this Saturday...

  • Have a plan - pre-purchase your parking. This will help you plan a route and avoid circling around for a parking space. Parking can be pre-purchased up until gameday here.
  • Arrive early parking opens at 1 PM and stadium gates open at 5 PM. Give yourself plenty of time to get parked and over to Kyle Field.
  • There are three shuttle routes running on campus starting three hours pregame until one hour postgame. This can be an easy way to get from lots further out over to Kyle Field.
  • There is construction on SH 6. No lane closures are planned, but give yourself extra time if your travel path takes you along that route. Consider using FM 2818 to get to and from campus.
  • Follow the Texas A&M Transportation Services social media pages. They will post updates on parking or traffic.
  • Last but not least, pack your patience. It is going to be busy and we will have a lot of people in town that have never been here before. That always makes things a little more exciting.

Blacked out? I have espn unlimited and it says I'm not authorized. Could be due to location or device.

Thank you for reminding people of that. It's a good reminder for football season coming up in just weeks.

The data speed is going to be next to nothing where the scanners are and quite frankly its quite rude to do the whole process of adding the tickets to your wallet then and holding up the line.

I can only vouch for the entrance I was at, but the only huge issue today were tickets that were obtained by Ticketmaster, most everthing else were tickets that were not in their mobile wallet already or at a wrong gate.

The lack of traffic control on wellborn before the game was an absolute disgrace.

Currently been sitting in the Stallings garage for 20 minutes and haven't moved an inch.

Putrid logistics decisions.

Don't park in the garages. You'll be the last ones to get out!

We got there early and parked in Lot 67. All was great coming in, but going out was a mess. People were all over Wellborn and I saw people climbing the train track fences to go towards the rec center. Lots of people walking on Wellborn road too and there was only one CS cop on that whole stretch in front of the stadium. He was reversing down the road to try and merge pedestrians off of the road.

Other than that, everything else was great! Talked with a security guard that lives in Houston and said her company bussed a ton of staff in for this event.

Great time but an utter disaster from a logistics standpoint and I'm not about to blame it on people not being familiar with the town. That's a known thing and nothing was done to account for it. We don't need 6 lanes pushing south on wellborn after the game but we need people who have some semblance of a clue of what they're doing to step up in critical areas.

Before the game Wellborn turned into a free for all. People were merging and turning into each other from lanes over, crossing traffic when oncoming traffic was green, etc. and all it would have taken was 2 or 3 cops to direct traffic at a few spots.

The annual Jimbo payment just hit the books, so it's not like the athletic department is getting to use that revenue for anything productive. It's sickening how long we're stuck with that debt.

Whoever BEST is from an inside the stadium security group was a joke. I don't know if they also handled the exterior/streets or if it was another outfit but it was so bad. I know it's hard to 3rd party a bunch of operations from a university level and hope things go well, but other than the game and production, all other logistics were a failure. Neon jacket wearing dopes refusing to do their jobs.

During the Stallings garage nonsense, the one cop on duty doing traffic and neon vests around her simply refused to stop or move the waves of people walking in the street and when called out about it just rolled their eyes and said "we tried to tell them."

Fans after games are sheep. They just need to be herded. Nobody wanted to actually do their job. My wife kept saying "if this was an Aggie game none of this would be happening."

The absolute worst was pre game. We saw people driving in the oncoming traffic lane going north on wellborn trying to cut into Old Main over the middle lane and the actual true north bound lane also trying to turn right when none of those lanes were allowed to. Just completely clogged up all traffic going both ways. One cop at that intersection could have solved everything. Just idiotic planning, or lack thereof.

Yeah 91k. Amazing time inside the game. As much as I'm *****ing the entire night was great. I just can't believe how stupid the group putting the game on + local officials were when all it would have taken were 3 or 4 officers in key areas to fix everything we saw break down.
