Looking for a good reasonably priced handyman. I know Maddiedou is the best but isn't available before September at the earliest.

Ace is a great option. Blake and crew have done everything from small handyman repairs up to a couple of major renovations on rentals of mine. Will not be the cheapest (probably similar to Maddiedou) but as usual you get what you pay for, their pricing is transparent and they have stayed on budget even on larger projects (of course except when I inevitably add scope haha).
I second Blake & crew. They have done a couple of fairly decent size jobs for us. Would highly recommend.
What do you need done? Recommendations might change based on need
Shower head replacement, small crack repair, possibly a small room painted, regrout bathtub and level stove

I need somebody to replace some lights in my front lawn. Some kind of old lighting where the wiring goes directly into the lgihts. I also need some lighting fixed in one of the bathrooms. I don't mess with electricity

It's not worth my time. And with an older system, I'd probably kill myself accidentally.

You don't need to turn off all the power. Just what you are working on.

I'm lazy ok lol. My weekends are for me, my family, and Jack or Jim .
It cost more for me to waste a couple hours half-assing it than paying somebody to do it right (which is what I always end up doing because I'll never hear the end of it otherwise).

They have so much overhead
Trucks. Office. Insurance. Payroll taxes. Property taxes
I would assume franchise tax
And all the posters say they do a good job and sometimes it takes a high hourly rate guy to be that knowledgeable. So they are probably paying more than a normal rate to keep these guys

I've used several below $100, no minimum and no service fee.
