Why are the trees being cut down in the yards of the homes on Lincoln Ave between Spring Loop & Munson?

I *believe* they are putting in a "shared use path" (giant sidewalk) down that street.

They love those. Not sure who uses them.

Atmos and whoever is working with them. They love those paths.

Be sure to put your "Sidewalk Closed" sign about 10' in front of the first vehicle blocking the path instead of down at the intersection where the sidewalk meets the street so people can choose an alternate route.

I think the most ridiculous one is on the northbound feeder between Boonville and Old Reliance. Complete waste of concrete and $$$.

Oh, look.

Knife River has a hoe ram and a concrete saw. Time to take out a section of the shared used path on 2818 near Luther.

It was getting old anyway.

I tried to drive through this area yesterday. It's literally impossible. I hate going through the university/Texas light…

No, the worst is the one that runs west on Villa Maria from about Brazos Christian school and goes all the way out to Hwy 47. I bet that is not used twice a month if that. The sidewalk that goes to nowhere!

Sidewalk to nowhere?

I thought this was about the sidewalk from PA 54 along Bizzell that stops way before New Main.

The new highway 6 expansion will have shared use paths the entire length of highway 6, so it will make more sense.

Trees don't make any money, but I cherish them

They definitely add to the quality of life. It's sickening to see beautiful full sized trees bulldozed and little bitty replacements put in postage stamp yards.

Yep
