Is it just void of students or is it 100% closed?

There are still classes today and tomorrow. Wednesday is a Reading Day. Official staff holidays are Thursday and Friday.

Is going there still a thing if you are not a tamu employee? As far as i know disposal to the public has been only via a online auction for years, but the have only limited ability to examine items.
Realize bikes are handled differently.

Campus is open through noon Wednesday.

To purchase from surplus you have to go to http://lonestarauctioneers.com/

Unless you have some sort of backdoor deal, which sounds nice, but also unethical, you have to go through auctions. I've picked up a few items from there tho.

Surplus Property office has lots of churn through Lonestar Auctions. Site encourages previewing before bidding, suggesting they're "open to the public." Don't go until Monday.

I went by.... apparently it's open to the public and anyone can buy stuff... They do have an auction that stuff is separate...

The only thing they wont sell to the public is glassware.. some weird legal issue... I was looking for an autoclave and some lab equipment and wanted some test tubes but they would sell me everything but the test tubes...

and they've got a warehouse full of furniture...

I bought stuff there this summer. You just go into the office area (across from the building where all the stuff is) and register. Picked up some nice wooden chairs for $10 a piece and some seating benches for like $30 a piece.
