Bringing our two boys - ages 4 and 6 - to College Station this weekend for their first game at Kyle. Any suggestions for kid-friendly places to have brunch/lunch and watch early games? Somewhere with room to run around or a playground?
Century Square has quite a few restaurants and a big lawn for kids. There is often activities going on at the lawn as well. They have shuttles to Kyle Field from Century Square as well.
Cooper's is great, bring a ball or some truck toys to help keep entertained. Lupe Tortilla is also good, they have an outdoor seating area with a nice play area that is filled with sand/playscapes/roller car slide things.
The Backyard at Northgate and Carney's both have pretty good set ups to watch games and have the kids run around. There's kind of a token playground at Carney's, but both have huge screens outside.
Mess Waffle and Sweet Paris are our favorites for taking the kids. Century Square has a big green area for them to play, and the food is really good.
For watching early games- wander around campus with a cooler and stop into various tailgates. Games will be on everywhere, and most people don't mind people stopping in.
