Could someone please post where to find football playoff schedules for CSHS, Consol, etc? Cannot seem to find an accurate website. Thank you!

UIL Football playoffs , brackets are usually not filled out until the district games are complete .

CSHS and Consol will play next week at home since they finished 1st and 2nd in district. CSHS will play either Angleton or Crosby apparently.

Consol will play Friendswood.

Seems that way. Looking at the schedule, they play each other on Friday night. CSHS plays the loser of that game.

I've clicked the bracket linked above (thanks!), but it is still blank. How do all of you know who Consol is playing etc? I still don't find that info. And the Texas football.com site is info from 2023.

Regular season games are not finished yet. This is the last weekend of the regular season. Once the regular season is done, they will update the brackets. We are just looking at the standings for the district that CS and Consil are matched up with.

The good teams are some of the best that have ever played.

The Aledo team that beat CSHS in the champ game two years ago looked like a small college team in person. I watched the replay after we got home the next morning and tv didn't do them justice.

There are just more bad teams than there were before.

How much is it kids not playing football as much now ? Realizing concussions aren't worth it maybe.

First round games for all of the Brazos Valley schools.

I wish they wouldn't have opened up 8 million schools and spread the talent so thin . Teams just are not as good now .
In Consol / CSHS district this year are 4 of the worst high school football teams I've ever seen.. and been watching Hs football for nearly 40 years.
Even in playoffs you just don't see the level of play across the board .

Deep into the season there were 2 winless teams in that district. Such horrible play. I think it will be a tough start to the playoffs to knock off the rust because they have effectively been playing bye weeks for a month plus.

Thank you, Stupe! But seriously, where do they find this info? UIL brackets still empty on their website! I feel so dumb that I can't figure this out!

Watching Consol vs Galveston Ball. Tied 3-3 in the 3rd qtr, Ball just scooped up a fumble and returned it to the 13.

Consol wins 10-3. Offense really struggled this game.

CSHS vs Lufkin tomorrow in New Caney.

This is one of the toughest Area games that I can remember for CSHS in a while. They are usually a lot better than their opponent until Region.

This is the first time since they have been UIL eligible that I would not be surprised by a second round exit.

I thought it was more of the offense hitting the self destruct button than anything. They moved up and down the field and shot themselves in the foot repeatedly in the red zone.

It was a lot of this along with not very many big chunk plays they normally get.

One look at the 1st play of the game. A lateral and a pass to a wide open WR that drops it. If the WR catches it he scores. That play foreshadowed the entire night. It's known to happen in football.

Galveston Ball had 2 opportunities to score Touchdowns at the Consol 1 yard line and both drives the Consol defense held. Once in the 1st quarter and other in 4th quarter.
Now give credit to Consol defense but when you get the ball to the 1 yard line you should score everytime.
The fact that HS teams don't lineup under center in goaline or short yardage situations baffles me. All they had to do was fall forward and they score , but let's go from a shotgun and handoff 6 yards from the LOS?

Galveston also had the fumble recovery late in the game when it was 3-3 and the Galveston defender should have scored. He had 5-6 blockers in front of him and only 1 Consol player. Not sure how he didn't score.

On Galveston last drive of game , a Consol player went for pick 6 and missed the ball allowing Galvesron receiver to catch ball and plenty room to run. 2 Consol defenders giving chase ran into each other and both fell to the ground, the Galveston receiver cramped up otherwise he would have likely scored and tied the game with under a minute.

Galveston play calling was bad, now they were playing without their best player and receivers had some key drops , and they had several pre snap penalties but the play calling was not good.

Consol imo had their own coaching blunder
Consol on their 1st drive instead of kicking a chip shot FG they decided to go for it on 4th down and threw an incomplete pass in back of endzone. Receiver was bobbling ball as he went out of bounds , negating points. Kick the FG there and take early lead.
Yes hindsight is 20/20 But Kick the ball there , get points on 1st drive .keep momentum, You have a good place kicker . Literally No reason not to kick the FG in that situation

I know Consol has aspirations of making it to the State finals, they escaped a quick derailing and will have to play much better to keep advancing

But as said they are preparing to play their next round game which in the playoffs is all that matters.

Consol 3rd round game vs LaPorte/ Barbers Hill winner will be next Friday at 3pm at the Berry Center

Cougars move on to the next round to play Angleton Friday night after a convincing win against Lufkin.
