Do any of you know what the hold up is with College Station building inspections? Our kids' school has some new portables that need signatures - electrical, building, water and sanitation inspectors were supposed to show up but didn't. School started yesterday and the school is rearranging everything so as not to use the two new portable buildings that are ready to go.

Is your school in Bryan or College Station? You mention a Monday start date and College Station inspectors. BISD starts Tuesday, CSISD Wednesday, ILT Thursday.
It's a private school in College Station.
There is a system called Trak-it that tracks progress of inspections. Do you have contact information for your inspectors?
The engineer has been checking trak-it. But no we don't have contact information for all inspectors. They have been trying to get that.
They have some contacts at the city and have contact info for some of the actual inspectors but not all.

The engineer needs to just call the front desk at Planning and Development. The ladies there can get them directed to the appropriate people to check all the boxes. You've just got to be persistent to get each individual person to complete their inspection and give their approval. Like someone stated above, the City uses eTRAKit to keep up with permitting and associated inspections. I don't know if the portable buildings in your case are handled like a new construction project, but it sounds like they may be. I think each department has three days to respond once a CO is requested, but they very rarely complete their inspections in this time frame. It's frustrating.
