I had a friend ask me if my Frontier bill had almost doubled like his did. I hadn't really been paying attention since I'm on autopay but I checked and saw that my bill had gone up back in February but not as much as his did for the same plan. It had gone up back in June of 2023 when my one year promotional rate expired which was expected. But it went up again in February of this year so 2 increases in less than a year. On top of that, they charged me $6 for a multi device security fee which I never asked for. Turns out that fee was there from the start but had always been refunded until February. I had them remove the fee so my rate is $59.99 before taxes.
My friend contacted them, negotiated a lower rate and had them remove the security fee. He's now only being charged $57.99 before taxes. So two different non-promotional rates for the same serviceā¦ like what Suddenlink used to do. So are we going to have to call them every year like we used to have to with Suddenlink?
