My truck AC will run for 5 to 10 minutes and sometimes 20 minutes or so or so very cold and then quit cooling for 10 to 20 minutes.

Where is the best place to take it to get it looked at that is reliable and reasonable?

What brand of truck. I had a bronco doing that and it was a short in a wiring harness.
Caldwell ford did a great job

If it's an F150 or Expedition, it's a common issue for those for the past 10 years. There is a TSB on the issue.
