PSA- just in case the are any hold overs (dinosaurs like me) that still have a suddenlink.net email through Optimum it appears you will no longer be able to access the email through the iPhone mail app.

I lost connection last Friday after probably 15 years and have spent 5 1/2 hours over the last week trying to get it reconnected.

Apparently Optimum will no longer play well with others such as outlook, windows mail, or iPhones. You must use their app or website.



Just FYI…

I have a couple of Gmail accounts for specific purposes. Just some legacy stuff here.

Check and see if you can forward your ISP email to the gmail until you can get all of the important email sources updated with a new email address.

I agree with Mister Shipwreck here on having a separate email from ISP; however I haven't gone so far in registering my own domain. Too lazy for that.

It is easy. Go to Hover.com and buy your domain for just a few dollars a year. You can either then direct it to whatever email service you want. Or, just pay Hover a yearly fee - and they will host your email for you. That is what I do.
