Who do you recommend for a great stylist here in Aggieland?

Galleria (on RP- Don't remember her name) butchered my hair (took over a year of wearing my hair up to grow it long enough to fix). Kayla fixed it flawlessly for WAY less than I paid yo have it butchered. (I have REALLY thick wavy hair, if that helps at all)

Does anyone know of a stylist that specifically does curly cuts? As in, they cut your hair based on your curl pattern vs. wetting it and combing it straight and then making nice even lines (typical haircut).

If you have the popular long hair with curls, or plain bob they are dime a dozen. If you want layers, good luck. I've been thru 6 different ones since moving here in 2020.

My hair is layered and thinned out. And I have had a few bobs. Kayla fixed a butcher job where someone said they knew how to work with thick hair when t b ey didn't. They took literal chunks out of my hair in an attempt to thin it out.

If she is still there, Leah at Changes is great too. I could just never get in on the days she worked. She was someone that I fully trusted to do whatever with my hair and never had a problem. I used her from 2006-2012, and then when we moved back in 2017-2020ish

Thanks. The first person I went to was in 2020 at Ulta during covid. People were still wearing masks. He was great. When I called for another appt, they said he was no longer there and wouldn't tell me where he went.

A couple I went to hit me up for gofundme's for various expenses. Dental work, air conditioning went out.....

The person at Galleria cut my hair at the back/bottom and started blow drying. I said, "oh I need the layers cut to". She said she'd cut them at the end. I had never had that done. Well, all she did was chop all over with texturing shears. My hair from previous person had been cut with a lot of deep point cutting, so my ends were already very thin. And then she asked, "do you want some curls?" LOL, I'm 60+.

I think I found one. We'll see, I've only been to her once, but the moment I sat down, she said, "I'd like to take off about an inch to get rid of all these chopped ends and give you lift at the crown". OMG, she knew exactly what I wanted before I spoke!

The girl I had took texturing shears and cut the same spot (about an inch from my scalp) over and over and over until it was a massive noticeable chunk gone. It literally took 15 months to grow it out to the point it could be blended and fixed.

I think we had the same one!!

If you're still looking for someone I have a couple suggestions. I love my stylist. Her name is Miranda. She is so very talented. We always do fun cuts and fun colors. Attached was my last wild style. There's never been any cut or color that has tripped her up. She is a true artist and a curly hair Specialist.

That's no justice to the greatness. It was 6 colors and the bottom had purple in it. It was magnificent.

Celebrity has a Deva Curl certified stylist, that would be my first call. Faye Lane used to cut my curly hair in BCS, she was as CS Salon Suites but not sure where she is these days.
