Any recommendations on where to take a cut down tree in town?

I don't have experience with the landfill here, so would love some insight. With tomorrow's potential rain, wanting to get rid of it ASAP in the morning, but not sure if they will be open in the rain.



As a longshot, anyone interested in this wood? It's loaded and I can deliver today.

Landfill is easy. Just head out to twin oaks first thing in the morning (out Hwy 30 just across the county line). Weigh in through the line, drive past the dumpster and around back and make a right at the stop sign. Then a left and drive back to the brush pile area. Dump it and then get in line to weigh out. If you are in the city limits and pay for trash pickup, it will be free. If you live in the county, you just pay by weight. A load like that should be less than $10.

Appreciate the info. Do you by chance know if they stay open in rain?

Look up some scout troops in the area and ask them if they want it. They always need firewood.

They will stay open in the rain. I own Aggieland Dumpster Rentals and they do a good job at staying open through all weather events. Just bring your rain boots!

But only on designated days. I'm hoping the big pine we had cut down this weekend stays put until Wednesday.

Put on sidewalk. Somebody will take it.
