I know it's a little early for the season but does anyone know of someone selling in the BCS area? Two years ago Cooper's BBQ had someone but he didn't come last year.

If ypu have Facebook, keep an eye on the bcs meals and deals page. You can usually find a few college kids bringing a bunch back.

Lightsey Orchards sells peaches Saturday morning at the downtown Bryan farmers market. Starts at 0800.
We have been twice, one of the Lightsey sisters & her son are selling.
I used to grow a dozen peach trees in a home orchard for about 30 years, these peaches are good. She was selling Harvesters last week, but that changes week to week.

Also other produce venders are available.

They grow between Mexia and Fairfield and have a nice farm store. Worth the hour drive from BCS

About a buck a piece for racquetball size fruit

Really good Georgia and NC peaches coming soon

In the meantime Scamardos has **** good RGV vine ripe tomatoes and Moroccan tangerines that can change your mood for the better

Farm Patch and the two farmers markets have Texas peaches but I'm not certain from where.

Ah Animal Eight answered the "where" question.

Interestingly Farm Patch has a separate section for Texas peaches and one for "local peaches" which implies someone in the BCS area has succeeded in growing enough to sell. Well done to whoever you are (I had some and they are good).

I know a gent that was selling to Farm Patch in previous years. . He has a small peach orchard near Hwy 30 and Birdpond Road.
He is an excellent gardener.
