Anyone know where the ice cream trucks here buy their treats? Looking for some of the more unique items like you only see them selling (but cheaper and "on demand," so to speak). TIA.

Most just go to Sam's but some might have an account with a bigger restaurant supply company like a Sysco, vistar, us foods, blue bunny, blue bell, anything blue (just kidding), grocery supply, but I think you get the point.

Southern ice cream comes to your house but might not go outside of Houston. Plenty if ice cream distributors just google or visit a couple of grocers or stop and go's and read the label and do a little research.

Good news is that people love to sell something so if you see something you like see who makes it and call the manufacturers and they will tell you who the distributors are in the area.

Bad news is that they might not sell to you directly.

I hear an ice cream truck all the time in Bee Creek and a few times around Southwood Valley elementary.

In 4.5 years I have literally never seen this ice cream truck.

Either:
1) I'm going insane
2) Some creepy clown is playing the music from their garage trying to lure kids
3) This ice cream truck hates Rayburn Court and Brothers Boulevard for some reason...

There's one that drives around the intersection at Longmire and Deacon in the evenings that I see on the way to the gym about once a week. I think it drives through the apartments and condos around that area since theres a bunch of kids running around that area

Not asking where to find an ice cream truck. Asking where to buy their products in bulk. Seems they probably order them.

I think I have heard that same one and have briefly seen it. Basically it zooms through the street. By the time you've noticed it's going down the street and have grabbed some cash and shoes, it's gone or very rapidly speeding away. I don't think they're actually trying to sell ice cream to kids.

Look up Nathali's Ice Cream Shop - they are on 29th by the Dairy Queen. You could go in and they had freezer fulls of all things ice cream truck style ice cream and more.

Tried to go by there today, but they're out of business apparently.
