If you are coming from South Holleman to 2818, be aware that the new signaled U-turn is active and you can no longer cross 2818. You must turn right and then turn left and U-turn at a new signal if you want to go "left" on 2818.

People on 2818 aren't used to the new signals and some are running those lights. Be aware. Green doesn't mean go. Green means look to make sure people have stopped before you proceed.

Yeah, be careful. Almost saw a wreck as someone ran the new u-turn light after the Wellborn over pass heading north on 2818. Lucky the dump truck driver saw it and slammed on his brakes.

Oh cool. Been looking forward to seeing that completed. Good that the locals get to figure it out while the students are mostly gone.

The way some of the locals talk on this board, I'll be surprised if most of them can figure out this new traffic pattern. Students will probably be fine.

For sure. That's why we all tell our teenage drivers to stay away from campus in September and January.

I wanted to turn left from Holleman and travel east on 2818. I waited at three stop lights instead of just one to make the left turn, but hey I guess that is progress.

They can't adjust timing on Texas or Wellborn so you can drive either of those in the middle of the night and not catch red lights, even though you see no other vehicles the whole time.

Redlight studies have shown that timing them for traveling efficiency counters their true goal of "traffic calming". It's a feature, not a flaw.

Oh I'm aware. I was actually reliving my conversation with Mrs LOYAL AG who expressed the optimism that maybe they'd adjust the timing. I was in line with you.

Don't confuse "traffic calming" for a more practical excuse.
