Does anyone have a pond in need of a nice calm turtle? Ours has grown from the size of a half dollar to about dinner plate size ... which isn't a big deal but he's now able to crawl out of his enclosure... and it freaks the cats out...

There are turtles in the pond at the Bush Library. There's a very large slider that lives there.studioone said:

He can come live in our pond. There are a handful of turtles there. I don't go out of my way to feed them or anything. There is tons of vegetation down there for them.
you dont know much about turtles, or diseases, it seems....BQ_90 said:
Please don't release to the wild, it might carry disease or non native turtle
Drop him/her off on the small creek in Brison park near campus. There are at least three other turtles there that I see when I walk in the Park.studioone said:

It's NATIVE to texas... and it's more likely to catch a disease as it's been in a controlled environment since it was a wee turtle...
