Great spot, well run, fun trivia nights, what the heck happened? I thought they were doing really well.

That space was gigantic and rent there on a corner spot is probably very expensive. Regardless of how busy it was when you were there they'd have to be very busy all the time there to make it.

Then what could possibly ever survive there? a bank? a state farm? how much is rent?

Incorrect. The property management company kicked them out due to them no longer wanting a bar on property.

Would love for them to reopen at a better location. Great place but inconvenient to get there.

Never had a problem parallel parking on the street behind WOB and walking a block. One of our faves and we miss it.

That suck. Bar business is better than no business. Maybe the residents complained about the noise?

Interesting. I had heard that the rent went up so much that they threw in the towel. Either way it sucks, because it was a great spot

What is the name of the property management? They need to explain why they thought a bar and restaurant, in a college town, would not be a worthy keep. Especially considering it was successful.

Especially considering it was the only thing that has ever been successful in that development

Pretty sure they don't have to explain anything to anyone in the public

No joke, the entire side of "businesses" next door to world of beer are a series of haricut places I've never seen used ever. What's going on? Do the property managers get more money by not having successful places? There has to be an incentive to push out successful businesses while keeping ones that are clearly not. I'm just looking for the name of the property management company.

Uh, no. They don't. It's their property and they don't have to explain anything to you.

I had heard several world of beer locations closed. So it's interesting to read that they were pushed out.

Are A&M's core values..optional? Who has the POWER to determine that? Are certain departments exempt? Why?

It certainly would be a perfect spot for it. As for parking, there's a giant parking lot behind that location that is free to all.

Explosivo started their account and posted on Texags for the first time to demand to know the property management company. That's dedication!

They kind of do considering Northpoint Crossing grossly misrepresented and falsely advertised what all was going to go into those spaces as "amenities" when they built that place and started executing tenant leases.

Both could be true? They didn't want them there, so they increased rent to where it wasn't reasonable?

Well turns out it's the same company that runs z islander, the scion group based out of Chicago. Walking the property, there is great avenues for expansion but very few businesses. In fact there are only three. Rent might well be an issue but it seems the management might also be a big issue.

If I were wanting to move a business in, I would be worried doing so here. Property changed hands in December of 22. So a business that was viable for 8 years suddenly has to leave. Yeah, I think it's obvious what happened.

Did they go up on rent because they were not able to fill those other vacancies I'm assuming? So they are punishing the loyal businesses that have been making it work.

People reference the high rent there and at Tower Point, etc. Any idea how much the rent is (generally) for retail space around town?

The last Chimney Hill vacancy (that was recently leased to DryBar) was listed at $37 a square foot.

I want to say that's what they are asking for the former Bahamas Bucks @ Tower Point.

Personally, I'm a believer in incentives and that incentives dictate behavior. So I'd like to believe there is some benefit to keeping all of these shops vacant. Similar to what we see on Harvey as well. I'd wager both are out of town, out of state property managers. Frankly City of College Station, we can do better. In fact, Bob, dude, you are missing out on valuable taxes coming from in city and out of town folks at local establishments. What say you to this obvious chicanery?
