I have a rental house in college station and am having to re-tenant it for the first time. Do kids look at Zillow, FB marketplace, Craigslist? Somewhere else? Looking for best places to list it.

Older students (Jr/Sr) figure out who they want to room with, then generally by word of mouth they find a house they like that some of their friends had lived in previously. At least that's how all the students in my lab have done it.

Younger kids (Fr/So) probably just ask daddy to help them.

When my wife and I moved here a couple years ago we used Zillow for a couple viewings, then decided we liked one of the agents that gave us the tour and asked her if she could help us. She ended up leading us to the house we rented. From conversations with her it's fairly common around parent's day for real estate agents to do mostly lease work.

Sure,

This is the house, its a 4/2 and is really set up more as a college rental as there is no master.

Understood, it's tough to compete with students who can pay per room, so we have to use all the networking we can to find good spots. Had to give it a shot.

Thanks!

A friend uses Aggieland Leasing to rent out his properties and says they are 100% rented. You have to pay a portion of the first month's rent as their fee.

Listing it at $1,950/mo. Could make a Texags deal for $1,900.

Ironically, I've had quite a few leases get tenants and the initial inquiry was from Zillow.

But this is the peak leasing season from now until April. You need to get it leased up sooner or you're going to haven a bit more difficulty in finding a tenant. If not going for college kids, it's a bit different. But college kids are soon about to make plans on where to live for next year

Additionally, if you are renting a property, do your best to make the lease end on 7/31/202X because 75% of this market turns over at that time. Maybe it makes it a 15 month lease term, but if you are expecting to have a lease expire on 5/30/202X and get a tenant for it to move in, most aren't going to be able to do it until end of July when their lease expires. So you're going to go 2 months without lease payments.
